Embrace of the Cross #1263
Embrace of the Cross
In the quiet shadows where the old church stands,
The cross rises, a symbol etched by ancient hands.
Not merely a sign but a beacon of grace,
A testament to pain and triumph interlaced.
Thorns and nails tell of agony endured,
Despair to hope, in Christ’s heart secured.
His suffering transforms our sorrow and grief,
Guiding each step toward joy and relief.
This enduring wood whispers softly to all,
That suffering has purpose, a passage, not a wall.
An invitation to journey where redemption sings,
Where Christ’s own victory to each of us clings.
In the embrace of the cross, harsh and bold,
Love’s eternal light begins to unfold.
Hearts restored, wounds healed in its grace,
As triumph blooms from this sacred place.
No longer mere wood but a promise divine,
A guide through our trials, a comforting sign.
For in the cross's shadow, we find hope reborn,
A pathway to peace where faith is sworn.
