Echoes of Justice: A Call from Ancient Wisdom #1179

Echoes of Justice: A Call from Ancient Wisdom (Chorus of the Unseen) In the halls of the modern age, echoes rise, From the ancient text, a voice, stern and wise. "Listen, you rich," it beckons with a cry, "Your wealth, now decayed, brings misery nigh." Your silver corroded, your luxuries vast, In the shadows, the cries of the oppressed cast. The laborers' sweat, the forgotten wages scream, Justice calls from the depths of a forgotten dream. In the grasp of power, where the few recline, Laws are woven by hands steeped in gold-lined time. Yet, outside these gilded walls, the many strive, Yearning for a justice that’s more than just alive. The world spins on, a tapestry frayed and worn, Pandemics, climates changed, societies torn. Amidst this turmoil, the ancient words persist, Urging equity, a balance, cannot be dismissed. Let us then weave anew, with threads of fairness, Where wealth is not a fortress, but a shared caress. Where power does not isolate, but integrates, And the gates of opportunity open wide their grates. For in the echoes of James, a vision reformed, A world where wealth and justice are transformed. Where every soul, every voice, finds its place, In the chorus of the unseen, sings the face of grace. Written by Steven G. Lee (May 4, 2024)
