Echoes of Calvin's Conviction #1185
Echoes of Calvin's Conviction
In John Calvin's eyes, where reform's thunder rolls,
A vision of the church, stern and true, unfolds.
"A true church," he proclaims, firm and clear,
Gleams like dawn's first light, pure and dear.
It cradles the gospel, pristine and whole,
Guarding the sacraments, Christ's sacred goal.
Discipline, both stern and kind,
Corrects the errant, the lost it finds.
Built on scripture, each stone and seam,
This fortress of faith in God's dream.
No room for false doctrine to hide,
No place for the weak in pride.
A beacon of purity, discipline's light,
Shining through shadows, piercing the night.
Calvin's church, unyielding in its quest,
Stands a testament to the truly blessed.
