Beyond the Shadows: A Life Unbroken #1284
Beyond the Shadows: A Life Unbroken
Don’t call me homeless, for that is not my name. I stand, not in despair, but enduring the chill of the night air on city pavements. My supposed neutrality is merely a mask, woven from strands of fear—a brittle facade that barely contains the burning truth of my existence.
In the shadow of my many enemies, contempt has seeped into my bones. Even my neighbors look upon me with disdain, and my closest friends, they turn away when our paths cross in daylight. Their swift departure renders me a ghost, forgotten as though I were dead, akin to broken pottery discarded and lost in the gleam of unforgiving streets.
Yet, I refuse to embrace hopelessness. My spirit persists, proud and defiant against the relentless tide. I clutch dignity close to my chest, a beacon flickering persistently within. My story is far from being extinguished. Amidst each storm I cross, this light, uniquely mine, refuses to dim.
So, please, don’t call me homeless. I am more than a label, more than the shadows I walk through. I am a narrative still being written, a life asserting its presence, a voice demanding to be heard.
