Living the Gospel: A Call to Authenticity #248*
Living the Gospel: A Call to Authenticity
In whispered echoes, in the still of night,
The Gospel's not just words that take their flight.
It's breath and life, in every act made right,
A beacon in the dark, a guiding light.
We are the text the world yearns to read,
The creed it seeks, in every thought, every deed.
Our actions preach, beyond what words concede,
A living sermon, sown from faith's seed.
As years unfold, this Gospel grows, takes shape,
A tapestry of grace, with no escape.
In Jesus' path, our lives eagerly drape,
To see God, in His glory, without cape.
"I am the way, the truth, the life," He said,
A path to follow, where our fears are shed.
Truth's sharp edge, a surgeon's thread,
Healing wounds, where once despair spread.
For truth, though harsh, brings healing in its wake,
Dispelling illusions, for our own sake.
A single truth, amidst the fake,
A steadfast rock, when foundations shake.
Facts, stubborn through illusion's veil,
Reveal a single truth that shall prevail.
Like surgery, truth may make us frail,
Yet in its aftermath, we sail.
A lie may run, swift on the breeze,
But truth, with steady pace, will seize.
The race not to the swift, nor battle to the strong,
But to the heart that holds to truth, long.
So let us live the Gospel, pure and true,
A living testament, in all we do.
For in our journey, every day anew,
We find God, and in finding, we renew.
