Journey of the Enlightened Heart #301

Journey of the Enlightened Heart In Christ's light, unwavering, a beacon bright, A path of positivity, self-control, in sight. Against confusion, doubt, a caution laid, In simplicity, frugality, the Gospel's made. A spirit of humility, it seeks to sow, Yet misinterpretations, unintended woes. Matthew, John, their verses clear, The misuse of words, a consequence to fear. Grace unfolds, in believers' stride, Aligned with divine, God's will as guide. Omnipotent, patient, the Almighty waits, Worldly power, its futility, the Gospel states. "For even the Son of Man," Mark's voice proclaims, Came not to be served, but to serve, aims To give His life, a ransom for many, A truth profound, worth more than any penny. Humility, a trait, in poverty found, For the affluent, a challenge, profound. The laborer sleeps, the wealthy sigh, In Gospel's truth, their solace lie. Faith in Christ, a path less trod, By those in pleasure's grasp, at odds. Pain and itch, contrasts reveal, Life's dualities, the Gospel seeks to heal. Above all dichotomies, it calls us to rise, In love for God, our neighbors, our prize. The Gospel of Jesus, a journey of heart, Of humility, enlightenment, divine love to impart. -Written by Steven G. Lee (February 14, 2024)
