Embodying Humility: A Reflection on Philippians #281
Embodying Humility: A Reflection on Philippians
In humility's embrace, we shed
Selfish wants and pride's thin thread.
Others' needs become our creed,
Above our own, in thought and deed.
Philippians' whisper, soft and clear,
Urges us to hold others dear,
Not just our path, but theirs to mind,
In their welfare, our purpose find.
What consumes thought, controls life's flow,
Christ's choice in us, a seed to sow.
Pray for neighbors, in times of need,
Mercy's plea, on which we feed.
Jesus, in selfless love, did show,
Our worth above His own to glow.
Words reveal the heart's true cache,
Intentions pure, actions match.
Gospel lived, grace revealed,
In humble acts, Christ's love unsealed.
Spirit-led, our paths align,
Words and deeds, together shine.
