Echoes Beyond the Veil: A Reflection on Divine Ascent #223

Echoes Beyond the Veil: A Reflection on Divine Ascent In the quiet before dawn's light, Where whispers cloak the earth in night, A counsel born from depths untold: Seek not the gospel just for knowledge bold. For knowledge, vast, becomes contention's tool, A blade in darkness, cutting unity's cool, No saint can walk with influence's stride Over hearts that for contention and profit bide. Recall the ancient wisdom's piercing truth, Simpler for a camel, through the needle's eye, uncouth, Than for the rich, laden with earth's fare, To enter heaven's kingdom, pure and rare. Jesus spoke, in echoes of texts old, A truth as sharp as winter's cold, Matthew, Mark, and Luke, all declare The path to heaven, not for the wealthy's fare. Consider the chasm, vast and fixed, Between worldly riches and heaven, mixed, Repentance, a mirror facing God's light, Emptying the mind, making the soul bright. This journey of transformation, not of gain, But of releasing, letting go of pain, Not of asserting, but of yielding's grace, To find the path to the eternal place. Where the soul, unburdened, dances free, In divine light, for eternity to see, Echoes beyond the veil, in reflection's cast, A journey from the present to the past. -Written by Steven G.
