Divine Direction: To Christ Through Love #283
Divine Direction: To Christ Through Love
In the silence of creation's breath,
Where life's tapestry unfurls,
A divine whisper traverses depth,
As God's finger in the cosmos twirls.
"Love thy neighbor," echoes vast,
A decree from realms above,
Commanding present, future, past,
Binding all in sacred love.
From Leviticus to Mark's clear voice,
The scriptures sing this truth divine,
In love's embrace, we rejoice,
For in this command, we intertwine.
The Holy Spirit, gift so grand,
Illuminates our sin-strewn path,
Guiding us with a gentle hand,
Away from wrath, into mercy's bath.
"The kingdom of God is near,"
A call to hearts, both far and wide,
To repent, believe, and hold dear,
The Gospel's truth, in which we abide.
God's finger points, and lo! We see,
The cross where Christ bore agony,
His love, the key that sets us free,
His sacrifice, our victory.
Through His suffering, hope is born,
In His death, our sins are torn,
By His resurrection at dawn,
New life for all, a world reborn.
So let this poem, a humble plea,
Reflect God's love, vast as the sea,
Pointing to Christ, on bended knee,
In Him, our hearts forever free.
