Whispers of Renewal: Verses for a New Reformation #856

Whispers of Renewal: Verses for a New Reformation In history's hall, echoes stir, Luther's hammer, conviction's blur, A voice through time, a clarion bright, Faith alone, the soul's pure light. German lands, with yearning hearts, A new dawn in faith departs. Then Calvin, with a sculptor's eye, Geneva's streets beneath the sky, A city not of stone, but dream, Where divine and earthly seem. A blueprint born from sacred text, A world where grace and governance intersect. Now, as time's sands beneath us shift, To a new reformation, our spirits lift. In this age where digital meets divine, A call to action, yours and mine. A faith that bridges, heals, and includes, In justice and love, it intrudes. Weave we now an inclusivity's thread, A global embrace, hunger and creed fed. Justice, not just in words, but in deed, To the least of these, our creed. Technology, a Pentecost anew, Understanding's gift, in every hue. Gentle steps upon the earth we tread, Stewards of a creation, hope not dead. Luther, Calvin, in their legacy's wake, A future to forge, for all our sake. Not a return to what once was, But a leap into what might be, just because. "Echoes of Reform: A Tapestry for Tomorrow," A call to love, to heal, to borrow The best of what has been, To seed the ground of what could be seen. In this dance of light and shadow, We forge a path, hallowed, hallow. Written by Steven G. Lee (April 10, 2024)
