Hands of Grace: A Compassionate Call #1055
Hands of Grace: A Compassionate Call
(Bearing Burdens: A Reflection on Faith and Compassion)
In quiet corners of the soul,
Where worries whisper and shadows stir,
There lies a call to cast away—
Cares upon the waters, faith's gentle sway (1 Peter 5:7).
We bear not just our own, but lift
Others’ loads, hearts set adrift.
The law of Christ in hands that hold
Each other's weights in folds of gold (Galatians 6:2).
Look not within but far beyond,
To other souls of which we're fond.
Their needs, our mission; their pain, our call—
To serve, to share, to give our all (Philippians 2:4).
In giving, find the sweetest gain,
In comforting, soothe our own pain.
For in our hands, the weary rest,
Finding solace on our chests (Matthew 11:28-30).
Blessings flow from acts so small,
Loans to the Lord, repaid to all.
In love we give, in grace receive—
In helping others, we believe (Proverbs 19:17).
Let this be a beacon bright,
For weary wanderers in the night.
To lift, to love, to laugh, to cry,
In burdens shared, our spirits fly.
