Rivers of Redemption #1076
Rivers of Redemption
In ancient rites, water flowed,
Levitical echoes, purifications sowed.
Hands of priests, in basins deep,
Ordained to the divine, secrets to keep.
Each drop a hymn, silent, unseen,
Foretelling a grace, pure and serene.
John, the voice, wild and clear,
In wilderness calls, the repentant draw near.
His baptism, a river's transformative course,
Not just a ritual, but a divine force.
A call to the heart’s own wilderness,
To rise, reborn, in spirit’s caress.
In Jordan’s embrace, Jesus stood firm,
Heavens tore with a celestial affirm.
Spirit descending, a dove in flight,
A promise in the waters, bathed in light.
Humanity and divinity, in sacred pact,
The Lamb walks forth, His grace intact.
The Father’s voice, across the skies,
A son beloved, in whom pride lies.
A path endorsed, divine and true,
Leading to the Cross, and resurrection’s view.
Not just a man, but a beacon bright,
In baptism’s promise, the world’s light.
Essenes' shadows, communal and pure,
Echoing calls for a heart's cure.
Yet, John’s baptism, a deeper plea,
From sin’s clutch, the world to free.
A kingdom not just cleansed by wave,
But by Spirit’s fire, meant to save.
A fabric woven, ancient and new,
From past rituals, a transformative view.
A baptism of love, overflowing, vast,
A divine initiation, forever to last.
In water, in spirit, in fire’s embrace,
A new life begins, filled with grace.
