Sanctuary of the Soul: A Poetic Reawakening* #1008
Sanctuary of the Soul: A Poetic Reawakening
In hallowed halls now staged for show,
Where sacred whispers traded low
For applause that echoes, cold and hollow.
The congregation, once a woven thread,
Now distant eyes that watch instead,
As worship's heart is subtly shed
For entertainment's fleeting thread.
Success, redefined, hangs in the air,
Not on divine grace, ever fair,
But on the transient cheers that dare
To judge what only God should care.
O, let us turn from actor's art,
From prayers rehearsed, and scripted part,
To worship pure, from soul to start,
In truth and spirit, from the heart.
Reclaim the core of ministry,
Beyond the crowd, where eyes can't see,
Stand true before our God, and be
Unmasked, genuine, and free.
