Echoes from the Margins: A Prose Poem of Faith and Empathy #1059
Echoes from the Margins: A Prose Poem of Faith and Empathy
In the margins, among the shadows of the overlooked,
where the homeless whisper truths beneath the weight of the world,
there we find a classroom of the soul.
This ministry, rooted deep in the bedrock of empathy,
teaches us to swap places, to wear the shoes trodden by others.
It is here, in this exchange of lives and gazes,
where the essence of the Gospel blooms like a steadfast flower in cracked concrete.
"Love your neighbor as yourself,"
echoes through our actions, not just our words—
a command that wraps the entire law in a single, sacred breath.
These words challenge us to stretch our hearts across the divides,
to reach out where comfort ends and communion begins.
Here, in the act of service, in the sharing of burdens,
the teachings of Jesus are not just learned but lived.
In the tender act of understanding,
we find ourselves transformed—
not just followers of words, but doers of the Word,
living out loud the profound poetry of faith.
