Echoes of Hope: A Verse on Youth Homelessness #987
Echoes of Hope: A Verse on Youth Homelessness
In the shadowed halls of learning's grace,
Where minds alight in scholarly embrace,
A silent cry of youth unseen, unknown,
In the 2021 report, its truth is shown.
Beneath the weight of knowledge sought,
Lies homelessness, a chilling thought,
Within the walls where dreams take flight,
A harsh reality blurs the line of night.
The statistics paint a somber scene,
Where college students, in between
The pages of their textbooks fair,
Know homelessness, its icy stare.
But broader still, the canvas spreads,
Across the land where hope oft treads,
Forty percent, the youth in plight,
Their struggles echoing through the night.
In Western lands, where sunsets gleam,
Unsheltered youth, a haunting theme,
Inequality's stark divide,
Leaves them wandering, lost inside.
Yet in these truths, a call resounds,
A plea for action, profound and sound,
For every number, every line,
Holds a story, a tale divine.
So let us weave a tapestry bold,
Of shelter, warmth, and hearts that hold,
For in the face of hardship's might,
Together, we shall find the light.
