From Law to Grace: A Poetic Reflection on Scripture #1073

From Law to Grace: A Poetic Reflection on Scripture In the sacred weave of text and faith, Two Testaments declare their truth, Where echoes of a single God resonate, Uniting ancient wisdom with eternal youth. Figures of old—Abraham, Moses—stand tall, Bridging time with stories cast, Their legacies in divine command, Link epochs that forever last. Themes of love and justice thread, Through scrolls both old and new, Where teachings from the sands of time, Are born again, in gospel’s dew. Yet differences, they rise like dawn, From the covenant of stone and fire, To the gentle grace of Calvary's morn, Where faith and hope conspire. No longer just for chosen few, The New expands its sacred call, Inviting all to start anew, In grace that offers love to all. From rigid law to grace’s embrace, Through Christ, the promises fulfill, Not contradiction, but a trace, Of love’s unending, sovereign will. Thus scriptures merge, from old to new, In seamless thread of ageless lore, Reflecting light in morning dew, A testament to love, forevermore. Written by Steven G. Lee (April 28, 2024)
