Resurrection's Hymn #1064

Resurrection's Hymn In the garden of shadows, where despair once reigned, A stone rolled aside, Heaven's mercy proclaimed. The Christ, once entombed, now gloriously raised, A testament of love, forever unphased. Grace Unfathomed From depths of the grave, the light breaks anew, God's grace like the dawn, washing sin from our view. "By the grace of God I am," Paul's voice did declare, A preacher reborn, in the crisp morning air. Unmerited favor, the gift of the Cross, Where Jesus laid down, for the broken and lost. No works could achieve, what His grace did bestow, The promise of life, where true love could grow. Mercy Unleashed Mercy profound, in the wounds of the Risen, The nails, the thorns, divine love envisioned. For humanity's sake, He bore our grim fate, Rising in victory, over sin and hate. Not by our merit, but by His mercy wide, In His resurrection, hope's doors flung aside. Freedom from sin's chains, life eternal to gain, Mercy's sweet triumph, over death's domain. Love Unbounded Agape unveiled, on the cross and the stone, Sacrificial love, through His actions shown. "Father, forgive them," His plea amidst pain, Love conquering death, the Lamb slain, risen again. For love, He descended, from Heaven's high seat, To break the cold grip of death's final defeat. His love calls to us, from the empty grave's side, Inviting our hearts, in His grace to abide. Echoes Eternal "Follow me," He calls, through the passage of years, His presence our comfort, in the valley of tears. For in His footsteps, if we humbly tread, We'll rise in His glory, by His Spirit led. So we sing of the resurrection, of grace, love, and mercy's blend, A cornerstone of faith, on which all truths depend. For in Christ's death and rising, our lives find their truest theme: The promise of forever, the heart of the redeemed. Written by Steven G. Lee (April 28, 2024)
