Whispers of the Field: Elegy to Simplicity #815

Whispers of the Field: Elegy to Simplicity (Solitude's Bloom: A Reflection on Simplicity and Splendor) In vast embrace, where dreams of fields stretch wide, A single flower blooms, simplicity’s own pride. It stands, outshining Solomon’s grand lore, A testament to what we ought to adore. What weight does human life then hold, if seen Beside a wildflower’s silent, serene sheen? Matthew whispers, Luke echoes the call: Why fret for tomorrow, why worry at all? The earth herself in splendor is dressed, More magnificent than kings at their best. This call to witness, a beauty so pure, In simplicity’s dance, our hearts to allure. A flower in the field, with silence it speaks, Of the grandeur in moments, in days, in weeks. Let’s cherish the now, in this vast, wondrous scheme, Where nature’s simplicity reigns supreme. So bloom where you’re planted, let grace be your guide, Embrace life’s simplicity, let serenity abide. For in nature’s lesson, so quietly told, Lies the secret to living, more precious than gold. Written by Steven G. Lee (April 8, 2024)
