Shadows Over Truth #913

Shadows Over Truth In shadowed halls where rulers roam, Crowned with fear and draped in gloom, Insecure leaders, ghosts in twilight's room, Wield deceit as their sovereign tool. They bend the truth, a cruel art, Crafting futures from shadows stark, Believing their lies a necessary mark, Yet forge only chains that bind the heart. Against this dark, a figure stands, Jesus, truth’s flame in trembling hands. The council plots with heavy bands, Seeking to silence the voice that commands. False witnesses in a ghostly stream, Forge tales in the dim twilight's gleam, Yet find no fault, no true blame to deem, Their nets empty as a forgotten dream. This age-old tale, a beacon bright, Warns of leaders lost to night, Urges souls to seek the light, For only truth makes rulers right. Written by Steven G. Lee (April 15, 2024)
