Mercy’s Witness: A Creed of Compassion #862

Mercy’s Witness: A Creed of Compassion (Echoes of Mercy: A Symphony of Faith and Action) In the heart of righteousness pulses mercy, A truth we hold, tender and profound. To save our nearest is to save the Gospel, Our actions speaking what hearts resound. Let not words stray from deeds, For peril lies where echoes fade. In the seamless blend of faith and acts, God’s mercy shines, forever staid. "Be merciful, as your Father," says the Lord, In the holy text of Luke 6:36. Scriptures echo this divine accord— Luke’s wisdom, Matthew’s mix. John and Romans, too, weave this thread, Calls to judgment softened by grace. In every action, let our paths be led By mercy’s light, in every case. In this dance of constancy and belief, Our lives a testament to the creed we claim, Let mercy flow without grief, In every act, let love reclaim. Written by Steven G. Lee (April 11, 2024)
