Gospel's Call: Rekindling First Love #878
Gospel's Call: Rekindling First Love
(Echoes of First Love: A Call to Gospel Fidelity)
In quiet halls where whispers blend
With stained glass hues of now and then,
We pause—a breath amidst the fray—
Have comforts quelled our fervent sway?
Our beacon, gospel, calls us back,
Its voice a fire on fervor's track.
Paul's echo stirs the spirit's plea:
"Woe if I preach not," his decree.
Where soft sermons meet itching ears,
Let not our souls bow to these fears.
Patmos' seer warns in the night's grip,
"Return to love, let no light slip."
Our resolve, a tapestry tight,
Woven with truth's unyielding light.
Not monuments to fading gleams,
But beacons bright with redeemed dreams.
Gather, then, under this cause grand,
With hearts as one, together stand.
Forward we march, conviction's tide,
With gospel's power as our guide.
Dynamic, alive, firm in our creed,
Comfort forsakes for faith's true seed.
Together strong, in spirit's song,
Where first loves dwell, and hearts belong.
