Cornerstones of Compassion #438
Cornerstones of Compassion
In the city's heart, under the vast, unfolding sky,
Lies a truth, profound, whispered on the wind's soft sigh.
A stone, once spurned, deemed unworthy of the light,
Destined to be cornerstone, in the darkest night.
"From Rejection to Cornerstone," a beacon, bold and bright,
For the lost, the overlooked, in the endless fight.
Not in silver or in gold, does their value lie,
But in the grace of creation, under the vast, open sky.
The rejected stone, a symbol, deep and wide,
Of those cast aside, in the shadow, they reside.
Our neighbors, unseen, in the corners of our gaze,
Dwell in the fringes, in the city's unseen maze.
This tale, as old as time, yet ever new,
Reflects God's love, boundless and true.
A call to see beyond, to the heart, to the core,
To embrace the marginalized, now and forevermore.
Builders of dawn, visionaries of the day,
Seeing not with eyes, but with souls, we find our way.
Every stone, cherished, every life, a song,
In the kingdom of God, where all souls belong.
As day turns to night, and stars light up our aim,
Let us build a future, where every stone has a name.
A hymn of hope, a clarion call, to love, to include,
Where the rejected stone, at the heart, is renewed.
So let this poem be a guide, a light to show the way,
Towards a world of compassion, where love holds sway.
Where every life is precious, in the grand design,
And every soul, a cornerstone, eternally divine.
