Whispers of Authority: A Dance of Humility and Faith #443

Whispers of Authority: A Dance of Humility and Faith In the garden of our faith, where divine whispers and earthly toils merge, We've been bestowed with a sacred charge, a mantle not of our earning, To tread upon serpents and scorpions, symbols of adversities lurking. This power, a testament of faith, not for pride's display but for the kingdom's surge. Yet, in the quiet of our hearts, a gentle reminder stirs, Not in the might we wield, but in the names etched in celestial books, our true joy unfurls. A call to humility, to see beyond the temporal, into eternity's gaze, Where our worth is measured not by deeds but by grace, in endless days. Matthew's sober echo warns, miracles and prophecies not the final proof of our claim, To stand before the throne, "Lord, Lord," yet He knows not our name. A stark revelation that actions, devoid of heart, are but empty cries, True discipleship lies in obedience, in a love that surrenders and complies. Thus, we're beckoned to examine, beneath the surface of our spiritual zeal, Is our foundation solid, our relationship with the Divine real? For authentic obedience is the hallmark of the chosen, A path of humility, where true authority and faith are woven. Let us then, with introspective eyes, assess our spiritual ground, Where is our joy anchored, in power or in the name that's heaven-bound? For in the dichotomy of Luke's empowerment and Matthew's cautionary tale, Lies the essence of our journey, a balance where faith and humility prevail. In this prose of life, a poetic call to authenticity we find, To embrace the authority given, with a humble heart and an aligned mind. May our steps be guided by the light of obedience, our spirits by love defined, On this path of authentic discipleship, our true purpose intertwined. Written by Steven G. Lee (March 1, 2024)
