Harvest of Souls: A Poetic Meditation on Spiritual Interdependence #1120

Harvest of Souls: A Poetic Meditation on Spiritual Interdependence (Threads of Salvation: Reflections on Spirituality and Service) In our woven existence, threads echo touches, Delicate interplay binding souls, A spiritual tightrope walked not alone But hand in hand, salvation twined In the love we extend to neighbors near. Our compassion, a mirror to our spirit’s depth, Caring for another, nurturing the divine within. What does it profit a man, to gain the world Yet lose his soul? This question floats Above earthly clamor, Each choice a scale weighing eternal consequence. Not in gold but in love spread wide, The soul seeks not riches but fulfillment, Urging eyes to horizons everlasting. Fields lie ripe, a golden sea awaiting, Opportunity swaying under harvest moons. Few laborers step into the expanse, Gathering, sowing, praying for strength in numbers. A call to arms, gentle yet urgent, Stirring a need to act, to participate In a dance greater than solitary rhythms. Our journey—a communal voyage, Steps imbued with shared destiny, A summons to service, casting nets wide, Sharing faith’s bread with hungry spirits. We are beckoned to hold an eternal perspective, Decisions forged in spiritual truth’s fire. Through intertwined paths, action calls us To nurture the world’s soul, our own salvation Reflecting a thousand guiding suns. Written by Steven G. Lee (May 1, 2024)
