From Dust to Witness #2124
From Dust to Witness
From the dust, God lifts the poor,
From the garbage dump of the world,
We rise, we soar,
Though seen as dirt, scraped off shoes,
God's power flows, His witness choose.
In our lowliness, we stand tall,
Enriched by grace, we hear His call,
The rich in their wealth, poverty find,
As God's light illuminates our mind.
Restless pain, the sick endure,
Yet God's gaze remains sure,
No exchange for what He's bought,
In His love, we are caught.
How to have the mind of Christ?
What consumes your mind controls your life,
Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead,
In Christ's light, our spirits are fed.
From the dust, we are raised,
In His witness, we are praised,
The poor empowered, the rich made wise,
In His truth, we find our prize.
