The Echo of Conscience #2165 (Poem)
The Echo of Conscience
One indigenous thought from conscience,
A light in the darkest night,
Is worth a million mindless musings,
A beacon of pure insight.
“Always keep your conscience clear,”
A whisper from ancient scrolls,
“For some have violated this truth,
Their faith, now scattered, like coals.”
Shipwrecked on the shores of deceit,
Where once they sailed so strong,
Now adrift in seas of doubt,
For conscience led them wrong.
“Woe to you, experts in law,”
The Savior’s voice did chide,
“You've taken the key of knowledge,
From those you should have guided.”
Not entered the gate of wisdom,
Yet hindering the seekers' quest,
Blocking the path to the light,
Denying the yearning guest.
In the silence of honest reflection,
Where truth and conscience meet,
Lies the compass to guide our journey,
And keep our faith complete.
For one pure thought from conscience,
Can steer us through the storm,
Returning us to the sacred shore,
Where faith and love are born.
