The Glory of God: A Conscience Cleansed #2160
The Glory of God: A Conscience Cleansed
In desert vast, our Savior stood alone,
Temptations whispered, seeds of doubt were sown.
Yet Christ, steadfast, withstood each cunning snare,
God's glory shone through grace and mercy there.
The wilderness, a crucible so stark,
Where human hearts discern light from the dark.
Temptations faced, a battle of the soul,
To yield or stand, to fragment or be whole.
With each enticement, conscience found its voice,
To choose God's will, the righteous, holy choice.
For in the silence, where the tempter lied,
The Savior's strength in truth was magnified.
He died to cleanse our conscience, pure and clear,
To draw us close, to hold us ever near.
In keeping with repentance, hearts aligned,
The answer of good conscience, pure, refined.
God's glory in our lives is plainly seen,
In acts of mercy, in grace serene.
For in the battle, through each trial's test,
A clear conscience leads to righteousness.
O wondrous grace, O mercy's tender call,
Through Christ, our hope, our Savior of us all.
With hearts renewed, temptation's power defied,
In God's great glory, we shall ever bide.
