A Faith of Knowledge, Not of Deeds #2111

A Faith of Knowledge, Not of Deeds Christianity, a beacon bright, Has turned to knowledge, pure insight. But danger lurks in learned might, Where work is lost in endless light. More risky than a virus spread, Is faith that fills the mind, not bread. If knowledge stays within the head, And hands do naught, the heart is dead. For truth in theory, void of grace, Leaves empty hearts, a hollow space. We must, in deeds, the world embrace, With love and action, fill the place. The gospel's call is not just known, But lived and breathed, in actions shown. Let faith and works together grown, In every heart, a seed be sown. -Steven G. Lee (July 1, 2024)
