WHEN TRUTH BECOMES THE BEGINNING OF HEALING

WHEN TRUTH BECOMES THE BEGINNING OF HEALING

A better future cannot be built upon information that is only partially true. Lasting justice requires both honest facts and an honest conscience.

The past twelve years have confronted our society with difficult questions about life, dignity, responsibility, and compassion. These questions deserve careful examination, not because they are easy, but because they concern our neighbors and the future we are shaping together.

Statistics can inform us, but they cannot replace wisdom. Convictions can inspire us, but they should never excuse the spread of claims that cannot be verified. Truth is not weakened by careful investigation; rather, it is strengthened by it. When facts are examined with integrity, our convictions become more credible, our conversations more respectful, and our solutions more enduring.

Whether we speak about abortion, immigration, poverty, violence, or any other human struggle, we should remember that every number represents a human life, every policy affects a family, and every public debate carries consequences far beyond politics. Our goal should never be merely to win an argument, but to seek justice while preserving the dignity of those with whom we disagree.

The future belongs not to those who speak the loudest, but to those who seek the truth with humility and act upon it with mercy. Truth without compassion becomes condemnation. Compassion without truth becomes confusion. But when truth and mercy walk together, they become a light capable of guiding an entire generation.

May the lessons of the past not become weapons against one another, but wisdom that leads us toward a society where truth is honored, human dignity is protected, and every neighbor is treated with compassion.
