FAITH BOOK: There is a book that fits in the palm of our hand,
and there is another written across the landscape of our lives. The first is bound in paper.
The second is bound in mercy.
One is opened by turning pages.
The other is opened whenever we stop for a stranger, listen to a lonely voice, or lift a burden too heavy for another to carry.
The world has many books of opinion.
Heaven keeps a book of compassion.
Every doorway becomes a page.
Every street corner becomes a paragraph.
Every neighbor becomes a sentence waiting to be completed with kindness.
Faith is never written only in ink.
It is written in footsteps that cross the road to help.
It is written in hands that refuse to pass by.
It is written in hearts that recognize the image of God beneath worn clothing and weary faces.
A church may possess shelves filled with sacred books, yet its truest volume is found at its entrance, where Christ quietly asks whether worship will continue beyond the sanctuary.
The Gospel is not finished when the sermon ends.
It continues wherever love refuses to close the book.
Perhaps this is the "Faith Book" Christ invites us to write—
not with polished words alone,
but with lives that become readable grace.
For when mercy becomes our language,
every neighbor becomes another page of the Gospel,
every act of justice becomes another chapter of hope,
and every day becomes another opportunity
for the Author of Life
to write His story through us.
