THE WILL OF GOD IS DISCOVERED THROUGH MERCY
Many people spend their lives asking, "What is God's will for me?" They search through books, sermons, signs, and circumstances, hoping that one day heaven will reveal a hidden blueprint for their future.
Yet throughout Scripture, God's will is revealed less as a secret to be decoded and more as a life to be lived.
Jesus continually led people toward mercy. He stopped for the blind, touched the leper, welcomed the outcast, forgave the sinner, fed the hungry, and drew near to those whom others passed by. In every act of compassion, He was not departing from the will of the Father—He was fulfilling it.
Mercy is not simply one command among many. It is the atmosphere in which God's will becomes visible.
When we forgive instead of seeking revenge, we begin to understand His heart.
When we choose compassion over convenience, His purpose becomes clearer.
When we carry another person's burden, we discover that God has been carrying ours all along.
The Good Samaritan did not receive a heavenly vision before helping the wounded traveler. He encountered the will of God the moment he chose mercy over indifference. His compassion became his revelation.
The Cross proclaims the same truth. God's greatest revelation was not displayed through overwhelming power but through sacrificial love. Mercy was not an interruption to God's plan—it was the very path by which redemption entered the world.
Perhaps we often miss God's will because we look too far away. We search the heavens while overlooking the neighbor beside us. We seek extraordinary answers while neglecting ordinary opportunities to love.
Every act of mercy uncovers another portion of God's heart. Every neighbor served becomes another step along the path of His purpose.
The will of God is not hidden from those who love. It is revealed to those who show mercy.
For wherever mercy is lived, the heart of God is discovered. And wherever the heart of God is discovered, His will is already being fulfilled.
