Rivers of Resilience #31

"Rivers of Resilience" In the dance of life, where dreams are sown, Merchants and statesmen, their seeds have thrown. Upon the currents of commerce they ride, In politics' waves, they skillfully glide. Yet, beyond the clink of coins, the sway of power, Lies a deeper stream, a more sacred tower. In the church's embrace, the faithful find, A sanctuary for the heart, peace for the mind. Pastors guide with gentle hands, As the congregation in unity stands. For in their midst, a presence so bright, Jesus Christ, their guiding light. What if gold and glory were to fade? Would their spirits be dismayed? Or what if faith’s flame were to dim? Would their hope grow grim? Yet, from this tapestry, a truth we glean, In life's fabric, an unseen seam. Both material wealth and spiritual quest, Merge in the river of life, finding rest. Capitalism's course, ever unsure, Churches' path, in faith so pure. Both seek a purpose, a meaningful role, In the grand tapestry, a collective soul. Start with heart, steadfast and true, Your journey will clear, a fresh morning dew. Scriptures remind, in verses so wise, The beauty of endurance, under open skies. "My food, to do His will," a guiding light, "To finish strong," against the night. "Blessed are those, who trials withstand," In resilience, they walk, hand in hand. In life's river, where currents blend, Troubles and joys, in harmony mend. For in each heart, a resilient flame, Illuminates paths, in life's complex playoff. -Written by Steven G.
