Cross and Cradle: A Path of Humble Light In the shadow of the cross, we tread, With hope alight, in humble stead. For in this journey, dark and long, Resides the power of a newborn's song. Baby Jesus, in a manger lay, A beacon bright, night turned to day. In His small hands, the world's great weight, A symbol of love, defeating hate. Embrace the cross, with heart so willing, For in its wood, lies strength fulfilling. A symbol, not of burden, but of care, Guiding us, when despair we dare. God's will, a path both clear and true, In Jesus' footsteps, we find our cue. To love ourselves, and neighbors too, In this, God's grace, forever new. So let us carry our crosses with grace, Following Christ, in steady pace. In darkness find, the light of life, With Baby Jesus, overcoming strife. Thus, in humility, we walk the road, Lightened by the love He showed. In every step, in every choice, We hear His gentle, guiding voice.
