Like The Grass #7

Like The Grass In the meadow's embrace, we stand, akin to grass, Tender shoots under dawn's first gentle light. As morning mists retreat, too soon we pass, In the quiet night, without the storm's might. Deep in dreams' hold, where futures are cast, Yet, in rain's tender waltz, we find our flight. Through storms' fierce grasp, our spirits vast, We rise anew, in resilience bright. Sun's caress, a warm and golden bath, Embracing us in rays of hope and might. Though scorched, we stand, unswayed by wrath, Our spirit, a flame, burning ever bright. Even as we fade, to ashes and dust, Over silent graves, our whispers trust. In skies painted green, our memories thrust, A testament of life, love, and just. Like man, like grass, in time we sway— Flowers of the field, in colors array. With the wind's last sigh, we drift away, In the earth's embrace, where our hearts stay. (Psalm 103:15-16, echoing) -Written by Steven G. Lee (December 8, 2023)
